OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2008. A meeting at the State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held with members of Japanese delegation headed by Pr. Noriko Sugiyama, Chief of the Department for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of Japan. During the meeting the following issues were discussed: role and function of State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in preparation of legislative acts, specific features of the seminar “Comparative analysis of legislations in Central Asia” planned to be held in December in Japan, reported the press-centre of State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting Mrs. Noriko Sugyama underlined that the Department for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of Japan closely cooperates with the according ministries and organizations of Central Asian countries and provides assistance in developing legislation base and arrangement of trainings for personnel in this field.

Representatives of the delegation explained details concerning the Program "Study and dialog", which is focused on discussion of general issues for all countries of Central Asia and search of possible solutions for them. Within the frame of the Program participation of representatives of the State Property Committee at seminars planned to be held in 2009 and 2010 in Japan is also foreseen.

Both parties agreed to maintain regular work contacts and exchange opinions on issues presenting mutual interest.
