OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2008. EVO is one of the first operators of a network mobile WiMAX the second wave (Wave-2) in the world. EVO has all licences for realisation of corresponding telecommunication services for Republic Uzbekistan territories. The services rendered by the company, are based on technology of broadband wireless access fixed and mobile WiMAX.

EVO, at the first stage, will render telecommunication services fixed WiMAX on the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent, Andizhan, Fergana and Samarkand areas. Within next year expansion of network WiMAX on all Republic Uzbekistan is planned. Since September, 2008 EVO starts in operation a network mobile WiMAX in Tashkent.

Use of technology WiMAX will allow to carry out a revolutionary step to development of sphere of telecommunication services of Uzbekistan, population access to global information resources and in reduction of "a digital precipice".
