WGC-3 Established Coal-Mining Company in Buryatia
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2008. Federal Tax Agency unit in Republic of Buryatia has incorporated Limited Liability Company "Ugolniy Razrez", that was established by WGC-3 as a subsidiary. LLC "Ugolniy Razrez" will develop "Ostalniye Zapasi" license block of Okino-Klyuchi coal-mine, supply coal to TPP of WGC-3 and other consumers in Republic of Buryatia, reported the press-centre of WGC-3.
Okino-Klyuchi coal-mine is located in Bichurskiy Regional district of Republic of Buryatia, that is 120 kilometers away from Gusinoozerskaya TPP, WGC-3 branch.
Company plans to start license block development and creation of transport infrastructure in 2008, that aims production level of 2 mln. TNT p.a. in 2011.

In March of 2008 JSC WGC-3 has became the winner of competition for "Ostalniye Zapasi" coal-mine license block development and obtained the license for the period valid for 20 years.
Approximate lignite coal (3A) recourses of mentioned mine block exceed 33.8 MMt. Total amount of coal recourses of Okino-Klyuchi coal-mine is around 200 MMt.
Being a part of WGC-3 coal strategy the acquisition of coal-mine has been made due to provision of uninterrupted fuel supply to WGC-3 TPPs while base and pick loads are growing and optimization of fuel costs.
