OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2008. The press service of Atomenergoprom OJSC reports that Energoatom was registered by the tax authorities last week.

The primary issue of the Concern’s shares will be registered shortly with 100% of the shares to be given to Atomenergoprom by Dec 1 2008.

Energoatom Concern operates all 10 Russian nuclear power plants (31 reactors having a total capacity of 23GW and generating 16%-17% of total electricity in Russia). Most of the plants are situated in European Russia.

Energoatom Concern has the second highest capacity after RusGidro OJSC (over 25GW) and the biggest electricity output (158.3bln KWh in 2007) in Russia.
