OREANDA-NEWS. On September 19, 2008 The Council of Entrepreneurs within the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has summed up their activity over one hundred of days of operation. According to Oxana Prodan, head of this public organization: “The Council is operating with maximal openness.” She added, the regions send approving estimates of their activity, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

Oxana Prodan informed, the Council of Entrepreneurs within the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has not only been attracted to the elaboration by the Government of these or those normative acts concerning entrepreneur’s activity, but also initiated solving of urgent issues. Notably, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft resolution “On measures concerning reducing prices for building of housing”, elaborated by the Council. As a result, taxes from building of housing have decreased almost twice.

The Government also paid attention to the Council’s initiative with regards to assistance to entrepreneurs in western regions of Ukraine, who suffered in the result of the floods in July of the current year. “This resolution is of great importance for us. The Government has demonstrated in practice that the fate of small businesses in Ukraine concerns them too,” Oxana Prodan stressed and added, she considers these instruments as weighty ones.

While speaking about key directions of activity of the Council of Entrepreneurs within the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the future Oxana Prodan called such, in particular, elaboration of a strategy of development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine with broad attraction of regional public organizations, development of business in tight cooperation with science, solving of issues of administration of taxes of subjects of economic activity, resuming of a hotline into entrepreneurs’ issues.
