S7 Airlines Delivers Humanitarian Assistance to Vladikavkaz
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2008. S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, has delivered humanitarian assistance to the republic of North Ossetia-Alania for victims of the Georgia-South Ossetia conflict, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.
An S7 Airlines airplane has been flown from Novosibirsk to Vladikavkaz with medicines and supplies on board including bandages, syringes, etc.
The humanitarian assistance was sent by the the Public Health Department of Novosibirsk Region. The entire list of medicines and other supplies was first cleared with the Public Health Ministry of the Republic of Northern Ossetia-Alania.
More than 5,000 syringes, about 1,000 IV systems, first-aid preparations, highly-effective antibiotics, preparations for the treatment of various illnesses and other medical products will be sent to Vladikavkaz Hospital.
It was not the first cargo sent by Novosibirsk Region to victims of the Georgia-Ossetia conflict. Humanitarian assistance had already been provided by non-profit organizations, residents of Novosibirsk Region, business owners and government agencies.
