OREANDA-NEWS  On 22 September was announced, that ACI EUROPE (the European division of Airports Council International) summarized performance results of the European airports for July 2008. According to the Council’s report covering 108 European airports, Moscow’ Domodedovo International Airport continues to lead within Group 2 (10-25 million passengers per annum) in terms of growth dynamics.

Domodedovo is ranked as the most dynamically growing airport of the second group – its growth rate increased by 8.9% in July 2008 as compared to the analogous indicator of 2007. Tegel International Airport ( Berlin) is ranked second showing a 7.9% growth rate increase. The Zurich airport is ranked third (6.8%).

At the same time, according to ACI Europe, the passenger traffic processed by the European airports in July was 0.4% smaller as compared to July 2007. The Group 2 average indicator declined by 0.9% as compared to July 2007 and grew by 5.5% as compared to July 2006.
