OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2008. Winners and laureates of the nationwide contest ‘Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2007’ were honoured at the solemn award ceremony, reported the press-centre of Belgazprombank.

Belgazprombank – the winner in the ‘Best Bank Providing Services to Entrepreneurs’ nomination for a third year in a row – collected the prestigious award.

Sergey Sidorsky, Prime Minister of Belarus, handed the diploma and the ‘Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2007’ statuette to Chairman of the Board of Belgazprombank Victor Babariko.

Belgazprombank’s activity in the sphere of SME funding has been appraised for the third time - the bank won this nomination in the 2005 and 2006 contests.

Belgazprombank stands out in the Belarus banking system with its efficient and innovative approach to SME support. The bank’s staff constantly work out and implement new lending programmes helping entrepreneurs launch and develop their businesses.

Sergey Sidorsky said at the ceremony: "Small and mid-sized businesses play an important role in the economy, they contribute to forming a competitive environment, stimulate growth in production of consumer goods, service sector development and job creation and aid in raising living standards in Belarus."

The third victory in this prestigious contest is a result of the Belgazprombank strong efforts in fulfilling the once chosen mission. This year's win another time proved the bank’s ability to address day-to-day needs of the entrepreneurial environment.
