OREANDA-NEWS  On 19 September was announced, that Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Naum Marder who is the head of the working group of the inter-departmental commission on restoration of telecommunications in South Ossetia visited the Republic again. General Director of "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC Alexander Andreev took part in the visit as "UTK" PJSC is the general contractor on restoration of communication lines and facilities destroyed during the military operations.

The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Head of the Federal Mass Media Agency Mikhail Seslavinsky and the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Rossiyskaya Gazeta” V. Fronin. The officials were received by the Acting Governor of South Ossetia H.S.Pliev.

N. Marder held a working meeting in the Communications Directorate of South Ossetia on restoring telecommunications and ensuring the work of mass media in the Republic. General Director of Southern Telecommunications Company A. Andreev inspected the progress of construction and restoration works. - Our priority is to keep within the time-limits fixed by the inter-departmental commission, and to fulfill the planned works with high quality - Alexander Andreev said. - The first work package will be completed by 15th September.

N.Marder, A.Andreev and Director of UTK’s Northern Ossetia branch N. Khirov visited a school in the village of Dzavskaya. Representatives of Southern Telecommunications Company made presents to the first-form pupils. And there was one more nice surprise! The Company took a decision to provide Internet access to the school. At present specialists of the Company are looking for technical possibilities to connect the school to the Internet network.
