OREANDA-NEWS. On September 15, 2008 President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No 515 “On Introducing Additions and Amendments to Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No 397 of 15 June 2006”, reported the Official website http://president.gov.by.

The purpose of Decree No 515 is to bring the provisions of presidential Decree No 397 of 15 June 2006 “On Some Issues of Calculation and Payment of Duties and Value Added Tax” in conformity with the provisions of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation of 23 March 2007 on the procedure of levying indirect taxes on works and services.

In this respect, the Provisions, which were enforced through Decree No 397, regulating the procedure of applying the zero rate of the value added tax with regard to the selling of exported works (services) and selling of goods in the Russian Federation manufactured outside of the Customs Union member states have been supplemented with the rule envisaging full deduction of taxes with regard to the goods, works (services) exposed to the zero rate of the value added tax in line with the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation of 15 September 2004 on the principles of levying indirect taxes on export and import of goods, fulfilment of works, provision of services.
