OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2008. Insignificant rise of prices was observed at the primary market of housing this August.

Pubic union “Real Estate Marker Participants” has reported that last month prices rose by 0.8% and totaled on average USD 1,187 (USD 1,177.6 in July) per square metre.

“Price index grew by 3.6 points and reached 450.3 points,” it was reported.

Price growth in Auugst was registered on districts as follows: Sabunchi (12.9%), Yasamal (4.3%), Narimanov (2.4%), Khatai (0.6%), Nasimi (0.7%) and Nizami (3.5%).

"The largest number of new buildings is constructed in the Yasamal, Nizami and Khatai districts of Baku. Those districts’ share in supply portfolio made 66.7%. Supply of three-room apartments is the highest,” the public union informs.

By late August 2008, construction of new houses in Baku reached 550, construction of which was run by 207 building companies. In August 16 new buildings have been constructed.
