OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2008. Governor of Chelyabinsk region Pyotr Sumin has decreed to allocate 300,000 RUR for the organization of the 8th Ural International Seminar on Radiation Physics of Metals and Alloys. The money will be spent on the publication of articles by young radiation physicists.  

The press service of the Governor of Chelyabinsk region reports that the seminar will be held at VNITFA (Shezhinsk, Chelyabinsk region) on Feb 23-Mar 1 2009. Snezhinsk has become a traditional venue for such events. Almost 150 scientists and researchers, including 20 specialists from foreign research centers, will attend the seminar. 1/3 of them will be young specialists. They will discuss the latest achievements in the field of radiation physics and radiation materials science.
