OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2008. Baikonur space port: Proton-M prelaunch processing is ongoing. The launcher is to loft three satellites for the Russian GLONASS navigational system.

Prelaunch tests and other activities for the Glonass-M satellites had been completed. Then, the satellites were integrated in one stack. On Sept. 13, the stack was attached to the upper stage in test and integration facility 92-50.

On Sept 14, Roscosmos expert groups performed incapsulation of the fairing. The upper composite assemble will be headed to the next hall soon, for its integration with the launcher.

The three Glonass-M satellites are to be launched on Sept. 25.
