ROSNO Compensates Damage from Loss of Dutch Cows in N. Novgorod
OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2008. ROSNO’s Privolzhskaya Directorate has paid over 445 thousand roubles of insurance compensation to the agricultural enterprise of the Gorodetsky District in the Nizhny Novgorod Region under the animal insurance contract, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The insurance contract was concluded in October 2007. Under this contract, the insurance protection had been provided to 150 Holstein cows imported to Russia from the Netherlands, as well as to their offspring. The pedigree cattle was provided coverage against the following risks: loss and forced slaughter in case of diseases, accidents, fire, lightning stroke, explosion, third-party misconduct, pregnancy and delivery, and loss to theft.
The cows started dying one after another after delivery, due to complications.
ROSNO has reimbursed the farm for 445,510.45 roubles of damage from the loss of 11 cows.
