IDGC of North-West Expects to Receive Corporate Governance Rating
OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2008. The International Rating Agency Standard and Poor's (S&P) will carry out the analysis and the estimation of corporate governance of IDGC of North-West.
According to Andrey Karandashev, the chief of the department of corporate relations and the property management of IDGC of North-West (in the photo), the corresponding negotiations were already carried out with S&P. The parties discussed the main stages of work.
The rating agency will analyze the activity of IDGC of North-West according to several components - the rights and influence of shareholders, transparency, audit and corporate management system of risks. The overall effectiveness of the performance of the Board of Directors, strategic process and system of remuneration will undergo the process of estimation. Besides, during the process of rating assignment there will be meetings with company management.
“As a result of this the report which will reflect positive and negative events of the corporate governance of IDGC of North-West will be compiled. We are surely interested in the real assessment of non-financial risks influencing cost of the company, carried out by one of the leading world rating agencies,” said A. Karandashev.
According to the results of the research, IDGC of North-West will receive the rating of corporate governance. The assessment GAMMA is given according to the scale from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest possible point. At the discretion of the company, the assessment GAMMA can be public or confidential.
