OREANDA-NEWS  On 12 September  was announced, that  Crimea TITAN published business activity resume for 1H 2008.

According to the summarized results, for the 1st half year 2008 Crimea TITAN produced commercial products to the amount of UAH 632 mil. Rate of growth relative to corresponding period of the previous year amounted to 47% or UAH 202 mil.

Output of production in kind for 6 months of year 2008 amounts to: titanium dioxide output is 49,6 thous. tons (that is 13,3% or 5,8 thous. tons more than in the first half of the year 2007); sulfuric acid output is 273,7 thous. tons; monoammonium phosphate output is 42,1 thous. tons; iron oxide pigment output is 2,3 thous. tons.

Tax amount for the 1st half year 2008 has increased by 60% in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year (or UAH 24 mil. more) up to UAH 63,5 mil.

Capital investment into the construction and repair works, equipment and machinery purchase for the 1st half year 2008 amounts to UAH 60,6 mil.

During reporting period, construction and installation works at Allgaier drying plant were finished in workshop of red pigments and sulfuric acid concentration. The construction of storage facility No.2 for phosphogypsum was completed. The project of improvement of quality of dried copperas was updated. Also there was carried out comprehensive expert examination of the project of construction of new sulfuric acid production workshop.

In the 1st half year 2008 Crimea TITAN carried out the environment protection activities to the amount of UAH 16,5 mil. Among them air protection costs amounted to UAH 13,6 mil.
