OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2008. National Bank’s monetary reserves totaled USD1 bln. 762.81 mln., it was informed at the National Bank of Moldova.

As of the end of 2007, the National Bank’s monetary reserves totaled USD 1 bln. 333.68 mln., as of the end of the first quarter of 2008 - USD 1 bln. 424.29 mln., as of the end of the first half of 2008 - USD 1 bln. 525.95 mln.

The historical maximum of USD 1 bln. was surpassed in late August 2007, and the level of USD 1.5 bln. – at the end of June 2008.
