ROSNO Pays Farm in Tatarstan Over 2 Million Roubles After Fire
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2008. ROSNO’s Kazan branch has paid the Islamgalievs’ agricultural farm an insurance compensation for the wheat damaged by the warehouse fire, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
One of the most advanced and successful farms of the Bavlinsky district of Tatarstan, specializing in cereals and leguminous plants, as well as cattle breeding, had obtained ROSNO’s insurance coverage for the commodities stored at its three warehouses (seminal warehouse, granary and covered floor). The insurance contract provides coverage against the following risks: fire, lightning stroke, storm and hail, illegal third-party actions, natural disasters, and aircraft impact.
The insured accident occurred in the morning. The auxiliary workers employed by the farm noticed inflammation at the seminal warehouse No.5. Despite the prompt and well-coordinated firefighting response displayed by the farm workers and subsequently by the firefighters, the buildings which housed 641.5 tons of spring wheat has fully burned out. As a result, the entire grain consignment was rendered unusable.
The insurance compensation paid by ROSNO to the Islamgalievs’ farm in the aftermath of this insured accident equalled 2,200,000 roubles.
