OREANDA-NEWS  On 11 September was announced, that the aggregate written premium on direct insurance contracts entered by the branch of Ingosstrakh in Chelyabinsk in 1H 2008 amounted to RUR 299.999 mln, or 161% higher than in the same period of Year 2007.

The size of written premium in voluntary insurance other than life insurance was reported to amount RUR 285.292  mln (+160%), including RUR 153.044 mln (+147%) in private insurance, RUR 129.629 mln (+195%) in property insurance and RUR 2.619 mln in liability insurance. The size of written premium in compulsory motor third party liability insurance was RUR 14.707 mln (+174%).

The payments made by IJSC Ingosstrakh in Chelyabinsk under direct insurance contracts in January-June 2008 amounted to RUR 98.349 mln, including RUR 56.004 mln in voluntary private insurance, RUR 42.335 mln in property insurance and RUR 0.10 mln in voluntary liability insurance. Compulsory motor third party liability insurance payments made amounted to RUR 8.135 mln.

The most dynamic areas of business for the Chelyabinsk Branch of IJSC Ingosstrakh in 1H were voluntary health insurance, motor hull and property insurance.
