OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2008. According to the National Statistics Office’s data, Moldova exported goods worth USD190.5 mln. in the reporting period, up 1.7 times against the same period last year.

The share of Moldovan export to Romania made up 21.3% of the total export volume, 5.6 percentage points more than in January-July 2007.

For the same period of time, Moldova imported from Romania goods in the amount of 60.4% more than for the same period last year.

Goods worth USD 354.9 mln. were imported from Romania for the first 7 months of this year. Romanian import’s share increased 1.2 percentage points to 12.8%.

The negative balance of trade with Romania increased by 48.8% to reach USD 164 mln.
