OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2008 On the Coast of Issyk-Kul Lake the VIII inter-bank conference of international BTA group took place, and it explored agenda issues of banks' financial operations.

The participants of the Forum represented the banks of the countries of the Group's presence: Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine.

The main topic of discussed issues were about world crisis of 2007-2008, particularly - about conditions and development perspectives of economies and world's leading banking systems including those in the countries of BTA Group's presence.  The main subjects of the conference were in-depth transformations in business, enlargement and BTA Group's efficiency, enhancement of its further integration into international banking operations, achievement of leading positions in the world banking system.

The Conference participants in detail looked through the results of regional banks operations with regard to their work-plans correction for the year.  The results of Group's financial operations and immediate plans were analyzed in a close relation with the principles of client-oriented, Hi-Tech work and construction of both business-processes and conglomerate structure.

The workshop discussed the geography of coverage, leadership in own market segment, level of competition and stability of development on various segments and other parameters of a unique for its parameters, geography, and representation level in financial market BTA Group.  The issues of verticalization of management and creation of a management company, development of products of international business, review and application of corporate business development experience in Kazakhstan by regional banks, creation of risk-management systems - were thoroughly analyzed and assessed.

Conference participants - the representatives of partner-banks shared their experience on development of retail business products marketing channels, working with rating agencies, creation of a single SWFT window, data storage, creation of divisions on working with past-due loans and collector companies as a part of troubled loans return mechanism.

Conference organizers expressed their hope that such annual meetings would streamline further consolidation of efforts in the framework of BTA Group.
