OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2008. Chaired by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasiunyk a sitting of the Interdepartmental working group on reconstruction of the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex was held.

The participants discussed the process of rig-down operations’ implementation at the most prime arena of the country. In particular, dismantling of the third pole is completed and dismantling of the last one is started. Thus, internal rig-down operations are expected to be finished till 15 September. Next week external rig-down operations are scheduled: in particular, reconstruction of the west and north entrances to the stadium.

The participants also considered a concept of development of the territory adjacent to the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex.

At that the Vice Premier stressed that the Olimpiyskiy should be developed as multisporting complex in the future.
