Slavyansky Bul’var Comes into Service
OREANDA-NEWS. Slavyansky Bul’var is a new station of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line inaugurated at 15:00 on September 7, 2008.
Slavyansky Bul’var was opened on an acting line section between Park Pobedy and Kuntsevskaya stations of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. The station is located in Fili-Davydkovo district at the intersection of Kutuzovsky prospect and Starorublyovskoe shosse.
The station will serve not only passengers from Fili-Davydkovo, but also from Ochakovo-Matrveevskoe district. Moreover, Slavyansky Bul’var is located near Poklonnaya Gora complex where public events are usually held. The prospect over the station is going to be expanded in the future and the station will have exits to its both sides.
It’s worth mentioning the architecture of the station: Sretensky Bul’var was called one of the most unusual stations long before its inauguration. The theme of the station dйcor is a boulevard, that’s why the station features grating with floral design, three big benches with fancy standard lamps and high street lamps on both sides of the platform.
Slavyansky Bul’var is Moscow metro’s 177-th station. New stations such as Myakinino, Volokolamskaya and Mitino on the same line, and Dostoevskaya and Mariina Roshcha on the Liublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line are scheduled to be opened next year. Thus, there will be 182 stations in Moscow metro in 2009.
