OREANDA-NEWS  On 09 September was announced, that 5th Baikal Economic Forum (BEF) takes place on September 8 – 11 2008 in Irkutsk.

The forum organizers stressed, that BEF is key event in economic and political life of regions of Siberia and Far East. The forum programm consists of 3 parts: 1st- role of Siberia and Far East in global development; 2nd - Siberia - land of possibilities; 3rd - Europe-Russia-ATR: roles of state and the cooperation in the energy sector. The forum is dedicated to concrete programs of complex development of the region of eastern Siberia and Far East, their integration into the world economic environment.
