According to Oleg Belov, Director General of the GLONASS- Navigator anti-hijacking and monitoring satellite system, the holding led by him is ready to start using GLONASS/GPS combined signal. The soft- and-hardware platform for these operations is almost formed. However, currently the services of this group of companies are built on the GPS-platform.

``Following our request, the Russian production partner- company developed both SW and HW for satellite anti-hijacking and monitoring terminals with double signal,- he says. - Preliminary tests of the experimental model has been performed recenty. Parameters of the model comply with our requirements completely``.

Meanwhile, to finalize the tests of the new device and to start its mass production, it is necessary to test operations of the device with the GLONASS/GPS micro-chip which is in serial production already.

``Industrial chip-sets may differ a little from the experimental prototypes which we applied to test our device. So, it might happen that some corrections would occur either in SW, or in HW of our devices before commencing the serial production``- summarized Belov.
