OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2008. Since the beginning of the year Navoi regional department of the Pakhta Bank (Cotton Bank) has issued into circulation the total of 31,854 plastic cards. The residents of Navoi now use plastic cards to pay for goods and services at any of the three city markets, including the butcher's, cafes and restaurants, retail stores, and gas stations.

Salary projects have been integrated at Navoi Cotton Factory, KishlokMashLeasing, KishlokhujalikKimyo, and other major enterprises. Teller machines have been installed at the city office and Kyzyltepa office of the Pakhta Bank.

Today Pakhta Bank has the total of 13 regional offices, 186 district offices and 698 mini banks. The region has 8 branch offices, 19 mini-banks providing services to over 8,650 clients.

In 2007 FitchRating affirmed Pakhta Bank's long-term issuer default rating of B-, stable outlook, a short-term issuer default rating of B, individual rating of D/E, support rating of 5 and long term issuer default rating support level of B-. On 11 December 2007 Pakhta Bank won the Banker's award for the "Bank of the Year in Uzbekistan".
