OREANDA-NEWS. From 11th September, "Aeroflot Russian Airlines" is going to start its regular flights Krasnoyarsk - Norilsk - Krasnoyarsk (between 4th and 11th September, there are going to be additional flights arranged), reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

Flights in this direction will be operated five times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, respectively on Tu-154 aircraft.

The flight from Krasnoyarsk to Norilsk (flight SU801) at 11:55, arrives in Norilsk at 14:05. The flight from Norilsk (flight SU802) at 15:40, arrives in Krasnoyarsk at 17:55 (local times).

On 3rd September at 23:00 arrived the first Aeroflot airplane from Moscow, which will be based permanently at Krasnoyarsk.

As previously reported, Aeroflot plans to base up to seven new Tu-154 in Krasnoyarsk before the end of the year permanently, which would be flying to Moscow and cities in the region.

The route Krasnoyarsk - Norilsk - Krasnoyarsk is one of the most booked domestic routes and is very popular among the residents of the Krasnoyarsk region. In the summer period seat utilisation reaches 100%. So far, only KrasAir operated in this direction but is no longer able to satisfy the growing demand. That’s why Aeroflot decided to add this route to its network.
