OREANDA-NEWS On 05 September was announced, that Tverskoy Overpass located near Belorussky Railway Station in the centre of Moscow is to be closed for reconstruction soon.

The overpass is a part of Bolshaya Leningradka. Hundreds of thousands of vehicles go through it from the Kremlin to Sheremetyevo airport every day. This traffic direction is the busiest one in the Russian capital.

Some years ago City Hall decided to reconstruct and widen Bolshaya Leningradka as it had become dilapidated, this work is scheduled to be completed by 2010.

Bolshaya Leningradka is to a route without traffic lights. It is planned that the bridge will be raised by 70 cm and one more lane in each direction will appear on it.

For completing the scheduled work and not stopping the traffic flow, a temporary road will be built from a turn to Lesnaya Street almost to Pravdy Street.
