OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2008. The Bashkortostan Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) recognized that "ATEK" Ltd. violated the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The company violated the law by fixing different prices for aviation fuel within the boundaries of the same region. The Republic of Bashkortostan has only one airport - "Ufa" International Airport" OJSC. Refueling services at the airport are provided by "Ufa" International Airport" OJSC and "AEROFUELS UFA" Ltd.; aviation kerosene for these companies is supplied by "ATEK" Ltd. Therefore, "ATEK" Ltd. has dominant position on the market of distribution of aviation kerosene in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

As a result of the inspection, the Bashkortostan OFAS Russia established that "ATEK" Ltd. was fixing different prices for TS-1 aviation kerosene for these companies. As a result of the inspection, the Bashkortostan OFAS Russia established that such actions of "ATEK" Ltd were in breach of Clause 6 Part 1 Article 10 the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", which prohibits economically, technologically or otherwise unjustified fixing of different prices (rates) for the same goods.

The Bashkortostan OFAS Russia will issue a determination to "ATEK" Ltd. within the statutory period.
