OREANDA-NEWS  On 04 September was announced, that KEGOC JSC certified its integrated management system to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999.

KEGOC successfully and methodically progresses in achieving the objectives set by the Government of Kazakhstan for national companies with regard to compliance to international business standards.

Development and implementation of the integrated management system (IMS) started in 2007. In August 2008 the certification audit of KEGOC was performed to confirm compliance with the requirements of international standards of quality management system (ISO 9001:2000), environmental management system (ISO 14001:2004) and occupational and health safety and security (OHSAS 18001:1999).

The audit has been performed by “Intercertificate-TЬV” LLP together with “TЬV Tьringen” Moscow, which is the partner to certification body TЬV CERT of the registered TЬV Thьringen e.V. (Germany).

Following the results of the audit it was decided that IMS of KEGOC complies with international standards ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999 specification.

On 4 September, in Astana Mr. Karyakin, Deputy Head of “Intercertificate-TЬV” LLP, has presented the certificates of conformity to Mr. Satkaliyev, President of KEGOC. “These certificates provide evidence of successful performance of the national company – KEGOC, in the corporate sector,” - Mr. Satkaliyev said at press conference. “It is also the result of the efforts taken by the sole shareholder - Samruk JSC, to improve the corporate management of company’s affiliates”.

IMS covers performance of system operator functions in the sphere of electric power industry: rendering system services to participants of the wholesale electricity market for transmission of electricity via national power grid, technical dispatching and balancing of supply and demand of electricity.

Implementation of the integrated management system shall guarantee stable quality of services every step of activities, preserve the environment, ensure rational nature management as well as industrial and environmental security, harmonize achievement of major KEGOC objectives with the measures of labor safety and security.

“Kazakhstan electricity grid operating company” JCS is a system operator of the single power grid (SPG) of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has the task to maintain stable operation of the SPG of Kazakhstan.
