OREANDA-NEWS. On September 01, 2008 Kristel Peikel joined Nordea Bank as the new head of Nordea Estonia media and public relations. The previous Nordea Estonia communication manager Reelika Raamat has gone on parental leave, reported the press-centre of Nordea Bank.

According to Vahur Kraft, chairman of the management board of Nordea Bank, Kristel has long-term professional experience in media and communication and is thus well suited for the Nordea team. “In recent years, Nordea has undergone quick expansion in Estonia, developing its office network and launching new and flexible banking products.

We have great expectations for the upcoming years. Therefore, strategic communication management as well as courteous and open communication is of great importance for Nordea Bank,” said Kraft.

Kristel Peikel has previously served in the media department of the Tallinn City Office and in the public relations office Hill & Knowlton. Kristel has also served as the internal communication manager in Hansabank Group.

Kristel has served as the PR officer of Viljandi Folk Music Festival and as the information officer of the popular Estonian Television show Laululahing (“The Battle of the Choirs”).
