OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2008. Industrial production in Moldova in the reporting period increased by 3.6% against the same period last year, according to the CIS State Committee’s data.

At the same time, industrial production volume in Moldova in July of this year reduced was down 1.2% against July 2007.

The leading positions as to the industrial production volumes among the CIS states in January-July 2008 are taken by Azerbaijan – 14.1% and Belarus – 13.1%. They are followed by Ukraine – 7.3%, Kyrgyzstan – 5.8%, Russia – 5.4%, Kazakhstan – 3.3%, Armenia – 1.8%. In Tajikistan industrial production volume decreased by 3.3%.

There is no data for Georgia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. In January-July 2008 in comparison with the same period of the previous year, industrial production on average among the CIS states rose by 6% (in January-July 2007 – by 8%).
