OREANDA-NEWS. September 3, 2008. The Internaitonal Conference devoted to the Role of Ports in Development of Ground and Sea Transport will be held on September 17-18 in Pir (Greece).

Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Transport informed that at the conference the country will be represented by the Chief of the Ministry’s TRACECA and International Projects Department Elmar Farajev.

The conference will present international financial institutions, transport companies, non-governmental organizations, academic circles as well as proposals prepared by international experts concerning the improvement of port infrastructure. Particularly, it will be discussed the question regarding creation of UNECE Expert Group for Organization of Sea Ports.
