OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 September 2008 was announced, that JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums opened its representative office in Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. It is the second of an international network of representative offices to be established by the Bank. The representative office in Almaty (Kazakhstan) is the first representative office of the Bank.

Extending such network of international regional branches and representative offices is one of JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums strategic tasks.

JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums believes that Ukraine has a huge development potential. Latvia and Ukraine enhance their business contacts continuously, especially in the area of transit business.

Ukraine is even more attractive to the Bank because it specialises in export and import business in international trade and financing of shipping companies. The Bank’s offer in private banking services and wealth management (management of private capital and asset management) will also be interesting.

The new office will represent the Bank’s interests, provide information support on the services and products of JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums and its associated companies for current and potential customers, and improve our correspondent relations with banks of Ukraine. The representative office will make research of the business environment, financial market and investment climate in Ukraine as well.
