ARMADA Signs Two Contracts Worth RUR 74.2 mln Under e-Moscow Program
OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 September 2008 was announced, that RBC SOFT, a subsidiary of OAO ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD), had signed two contracts for the automation of the Moscow State Employment Service and the Healthcare Department of Moscow worth a total of RUB 74.2m (USD 3m). Both contracts are parts of the e-Moscow municipal program.
According to the agreement with the Moscow State Employment Service, ARMADA will create an automated system named “Labor Exchange” to replace several outdated and isolated databases that are currently in use. The “Labor Exchange” will access all the submitted vacancies and CVs via a single resource. In addition, special information terminals will be installed in the Employment Service’s offices. These terminals will enable people in Moscow to search for vacancies on their own without any assistance from the Employment Service’s specialists, which will make job searching less time-consuming.
The objective of the project for the Healthcare Department of Moscow is to create a database that will keep accounts of the department’s hardware and software. To do this, ARMADA’s team will collect and analyze the statistics on software and hardware used in all of Moscow’s medical institutions. The survey will help to optimize the Healthcare Department’s software maintenance and technical support costs, and will be used to budget its IT expenditures for 2009.
The strategic goals of the e-Moscow program are to improve the standards of living in Moscow, enhance the efficiency of the city administration and increase the safety of the city’s inhabitants through the extensive use of information and communications technologies. Installing information systems at the state institutions is an important part of the program. These solutions will not only streamline the operations of the officials, but also secure the effective day-to-day cooperation between the authorities and the Moscow citizens.
“I am pleased that ARMADA is taking part in a large-scale social project that will help Moscow to become a city with a developed information infrastructure. As one of the leaders in the software field in Russia, ARMADA accumulated vast experience in business automation, and developed a number of unique solutions. In the near future, we expect to sign some new contracts under the e-Moscow program,” ARMADA CEO Alexei Kuzovkin stated.
Both contracts refer to the highly marginal Software Development and Implementation segment, which is considered ARMADA’s priority.
