OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 September 2008 was announced, that amid very low activity in the market, on Monday, the PFTS index sank 0.3% to reach 532-point level. However, in some industries a more significant decline was observed yesterday: UFC Metals index plummeted 7.7%, mainly because of decrease in quotations of certain companies with high capitalization. UFC Engineering dipped 0.6%, while UFC Utilities closed with minimum growth by 0.01%.

The securities watched by us spent the session quietly by fluctuating within the limits of insignificant ranges. Meanwhile, the UFC Metals index broke through its support at the level of 380 points to reach 354 points. Despite this rather confident advance we shall keep the level of 380 effective until UFC Metals confirms this break through based on time criteria.
