OREANDA-NEWS. On September 2-6, 2008 exhibition organized by The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Heydar Aliyev Sport-Concert Complex. The exhibition aims to attract investment in promising fields of Azerbaijan’s economy. With this purpose exhibition included presentation of dynamic development of Azerbaijan’s economy, achieved success in social and economic fields as well as new spheres of industry.

There were pavilions arranged by economic regions of the country as well as those of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Customs, Ministry of Transport; Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Power Industry and Ministry of Construction, State Oil Company, National Aviation Complex and Fuel-Energy Complex.

President Ilham Aliyev has toured the pavilions and familiarized with the corners at the state enterprises, as well as private firms and companies, was informed about the activity of different producing enterprises, economic indicators and work, carried out in 2003-2008.

AZEL company has presented at his stand “Lazer PC” that successfully manufactures from 2003 and joint projects with “Microsoft” and “SAP” companies. Core banks system “Progress“developed by AZEL’s specialists for banking sector was presented as well. “Progress“implemented and used by many Azerbaijani banks. 

AZEL’ stand was visited by the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.  Mr. President was informed about latest achievements of AZEL and about company’s activity towards creation of  new working places and expansion of activity in the region.  President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with AZEL Company’s activity and also expressed its hope for future development of high-tech market in Azerbaijan.
