OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 September 2008 was announced, that EU considers abolishing its sanctions against Belarus.

EU welcomed the release of the “last political prisoners – Parsyukevich and Kim”. “The most recent developments prompt the possibility of revising prohibitive measures against Belarus.”

Earlier, EU denied President Lukashenko and top officials of Belarus entry to 27 EU member-states.
