OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 September 2008 was announced, that IJSC Ingosstrakh has paid RUR 24.7mln as its share of compensation under the reinsurance contract to LLC Tomskneftechim for the incident at the subsidiary of OJSC SIBUR Holding. On August 12, 2007 there was an explosion and a fire in the main building of the high-pressure polyethylene production unit. The fire damaged the buildings, constructions and the equipment of the outdoor compressor (controls and meters, piping, cable lines, lights, various inventories). The experts concluded that the explosion and the fire resulted from the discharge of ethylene in the atmosphere in adverse weather conditions (still air, fog). To validate the state of the object the parties engaged MatthewsDaniel, an independent surveyor. The size of damages was assessed by ZAO Russian Appraisal. The specialists of ZAO March – Insurance Brokers also actively participated in the settlement of the claim.
