OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2008. Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern Sergey Opbozov met with the resident inspectors at NPPs.

The inspectors told Obozov about the results of their work in 2008 and their tasks to enhance the efficiency of the safety control system in connection with the active work to develop the nuclear power industry.

The inspectors told Obozov about the present state of the safety system of the Rosenergoatom NPPs.

General Inspector of Rosenergoatom Concern Erik Pozdyshev informed Obozov about the complex program to enhance the efficiency of resident inspectors and the control system as a whole.

The program is aimed at introducing new methods of early detection of deviations and effective selection and training of resident inspectors based on the principle of personnel rotation.

Obozov pointed out the importance of independent control of the safety of NPPs and instructed the inspectors to carry out the abovementioned program.
