Progress M-64 Successfully Fulfilled Its Mission at ISS
OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2008. Yesterday, on Sept.1, 2008, at 11:46:39 p.m. Moscow time (19:46:39 GMT), Progress M-64 automatic space vehicle undocked from the International Space Station (ISS).
Progress autonomous mission will last until Sept. 9. During the mission, a set of Plasma-Progress technical experiments is to be carried out. The objective of these experiments is to define density, sizes and reflectivity of the spacecraft plasmatic environment, which is caused by the operations of the Progress engines. The experiment is developed by TsNIIMASh (Korolev, Moscow region).
Then, the Progress will be deorbited and enter the atmosphere over the defined southern area of the Pacific ocean.
