OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 September 2008 was announced, that the Branch of IJSC Ingosstrakh in St. Petersburg has entered a voluntary health insurance contract to extend health insurance to the employees of General Motors Auto. The contract is effective till 2009. The total insurance amount is RUR 3 211 200 000.

The insurance coverage includes inpatient and dental care services, as well as ambulatory care in medical facilities in St. Petersburg in other regions of the Russian Federation.

‘Voluntary health insurance takes up a significant share in our portfolio, - says Andrey Alexandrov, Director of IJSC Ingosstrakh in St. Petersburg. – Since January this year we have entered 315 VHI contracts. This number speaks primarily of the high level of insurance culture of employers who realize the need to protect their employees and manage their human resources effectively, especially with a view to the fact that the expectations of employees have extended as well.’
