OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 September 2008 was announced, that new up-to-date components of the technological processes automated control system (TPACS) will permit to increase the reliability and operating life of the equipment of Perm CHPP-13, TGC-9 Branch, and reduce the repair costs.

They are replacing computers and monitoring devices with SIEMENS company equipment at the station, as well as installing the new control cabinets. The data from all sensors and boilers control devices will come here, that will provide the stable operation of the steam generating equipment control systems and increase the reliability of heat supply. After that new computers will be installed to the work places of the boilers operators.

Modernization of the TPACS of CHPP-13 will take place till October 2008. By this time it is planned to provide three boilers and steam generating units of the power plant with the modern dependable controlling equipment.

The next stage within the introduction of the automated control systems at Perm CHPP-13 is to install the TPACS in the turbine area and chemical water treatment shop.
