OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 September 2008 was announced, that the final stage of reconstruction works at heating mains is underway in Yekaterinburg. Within the summer repair campaign the specialists of Sverdlovsk heating networks are restoring the heating mains of the city.

They started to replace the pipe line at Pervomayskaya street (from Mamin-Sibiryak st. to Gorky Palace of Culture) in the end of July. Now the old problem section, 1400m long, of the heating main with the 200mm pipe is replaced with the new one with larger diameter – 300mm. The last stage is to be completed – to fill the ground and resurface and beautify the adjacent area.

By beginning of September the renewed heating main from Chelyuskintsev st. to Krasny lane will be brought to service. The heating main diameter was increased from 500mm to 700mm. By beginning of the heating season the heating main part from Verkhnaya Pyshma to Molebka settlement will be also put into operation. The power engineers have replaced 1200m section with 700mm pipe by 800mm one.

By September 15 the works on preparation of the heating mains for the heating season will be completed.
