OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 September 2008 was announced, that UC RUSAL had become a strategic partner of the 5th Baikal Economic Forum in Irkutsk. During the Forum, a report on public private partnerships (PPP) by Vadim Gueraskin, Government Relations Director of UC RUSAL, is on the agenda of the plenary session. In addition, Pavel Ulianov, Director of the Boguchany Energy & Metals Complex, is expected to speak during the round-table discussions and the company's management will hold a media briefing.  

UC RUSAL is also taking part in the

'Siberia and the Russian Far East: Large-Scale Projects and Development Programmes' exhibition at the Forum. The company's stand, in Showroom 2, will cover over 70 sq m and display the largest of UC RUSAL’s existing projects in Siberia. A model of the Taishet aluminium smelter will be central to the stand and give visitors a chance to see what the potrooms and other production facilities of the smelter look like as well as the residential areas being built in Taishet, all of which have been developed by the company’s Engineering and Construction Division.
