OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2008. OJSC “Company “M.video” (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain’s second hypermarket in Naberezhnye Chelny (Republic of Tatarstan).

The new store accounts to almost 2400 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products. The pre-opening costs amounted to 55 million roubles.

Up to date M.video group operates 7 hypermarkets in the Republic of Tatarstan: 4 in Kazan, 2 in Naberezhnye Chelny and 1 in Almetyevsk.

M.video anticipates the opening of one more hypermarket in the Republic of Tatarstan – in Nizhnekamsk – by the end of 2008.

The company confirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
