OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 August 2008 was announced, that harvesting campaign in the arable units of the largest Altay grain processor is at its height. At the moment, grain and pulse crops have been thrashed 52% of the planned area at Selhozholding PLC (Romanovsky, Volchihinsky districts), Allac Ltd. (Kamensky district), OJSC Melnikovo (Novichihinsky district), Agrofirma Niva Ltd. (Soltonsky district).

At Selhozholding Ltd., PAVA arable unit, yield of oats stands at 17,4 hundredweight per hectare. Today, the best aggregated figures belong to Allac Ltd., situated in the Kamensky district. Here, yield of oats is 16 hundredweight per ha, grain mix of oats and peas – 18,6 hundredweight per ha, barley – 15 hundredweight per ha. There are good prospects for the crop of summer wheat, too. Yield of winter wheat at Agrofirma Niva Ltd. amounted to 17,8 hundredweight per ha.
