Dixy Announces 36% Revenue Growth in Russian Rubles
OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 August 2008 Dixy Group – one of the leading food retailers in the Russian Federation - announced robust revenue growth of 36% growth in Russian ruble terms (48% in US dollar terms) for the seven months ended 31 July 2008 over the same period in 2007.
Dixy Group’s total revenue for the first seven months of 2008 was RUR 26,982 million, a 36% increase compared to RUR 19,908 million for the first seven months of 2007.
In USD terms total revenue increased to 1,131 million, a 48% increase compared to USD 765.5 million for the same period of 2007.
Retail revenue from Dixy for the seven months of 2008 was RUR 23,020 million (USD 964.9 million), which was 32% in RUR (44% in USD) higher than in the same period last year.
Retail revenue from Megamart for the seven months of 2008 was RUR 2,623 million (USD 109.9 million), which was 70% in RUR (85% in USD) higher than in the same period last year.
Retail revenue from Minimart
for the seven months of 2008 was RUR 983.2 million (USD 41.2 million), which was 66% in RUR (81% in USD) higher than in the same period last year.
Retail revenue from VMartfor the seven months of 2008 was RUR 117.9 million (USD 4.9 million).
Revenue from other activities, such as marketing revenue, sublease income and wholesale revenue amounted to RUR 237.6 million (USD 9.96 million).
