On 26 August 2008 was announced, that following the results of work in the first half of the year 2008, the profit of "Irkutskenergo" was 1.09 billion rubles that is by 38.4 % more than for the similar period of 2007. Including, for the first quarter of 2008, the amount of net profit equaled 1.1 billion rubles; in the second quarter, the company received losses in the amount of 28.8 billion rubles. According to the explanation provided in the Company's documents, reduction of profit in the second quarter in comparison with the first one is caused by the factor of seasonal prevalence.
