OREANDA-NEWS. By the results of stock trades on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on August 25, 2008 KASE index increased by 33.67 points (1.6 %) from 2.054.93 to 2.088.60.

The first deal of the day locked in the index value on the level of 2.056.50. During the trades, maximal value of the index was registered at the level of 2.111.54, and minimal - at 2.056.50.

On August 25, the volume of deals with shares, included in the representative list of the index, decreased in tenge terms by 21.4 times comparing to the previous day and made KZT23.4 m. (USD195.6 th.).
